Portrait editing in Luminar (previously, Luminar Neo) can go one of two ways. You either poke at every slider hoping something sticks, or you build a small set of tools you trust and return to them on almost every image. I’ve spent long enough with this software, editing my own Fujifilm portraits, and land firmly in the second camp. Over time, five tools have quietly become the backbone of how I work.
I’m not going to spoil which five Luminar portrait tools they are here, or what they do to an image, because the video does that far better than I can in writing. What I will say is that none of them are the obvious ones you’d expect a tutorial to lead with, and a couple genuinely changed how I approach a face on screen.
