Matt walks me through the stories behind some of his most memorable images, and two of them turned into life-changing moments he never saw coming.
One got him a press pass to the World Cup as a student. Another, of an abandoned Victorian asylum with a dark past, ended up somewhere he never expected. We also get into what it’s like stepping back from the pressure of press photography, and the personal project he’s never shown anyone before.
